[ No time like the present, right?

The Harbinger decides to drop on later after everything settles down. ]

Hey, you got a moment? There were some things I was hoping to clear up.

[ At the least he's still spotting the friendly face when he approaches, speaking after his knock. ]

[The door clicks open on its own after Childe knocks, swinging open to reveal controlled chaos in the form of an office. Faith sits behind the large desk, setting down a pen similar to the one she loaned Capochin as she looks up.]

Sir Childe, please come in. What specifically did you want to discuss?

week 1 - sunday

[The lights go down at 9 pm and in the darkness the lights in Kinger's mind flicker to life. Looking back at the chunks of today he can remember clearly and being able to retain the rules listed in the foyer has him very, very worried about their situation.

It feels a little silly taking the blanket off his bed just to carry it a few steps down the hall to Faith's room with a few sheets of paper and a pencil. Fortunately feeling a little silly about most things he does once the lights go down is a baseline for him after so long. It's better to look a little ridiculous but be able to have an actual conversation than walk into a brightly lit office and immediately forget why he's there.

Kinger drapes the blanket over his shoulders and partly over his head, letting it catch on his cross, before rapping his knuckles against the door.]

Miss Dinara? It's Kinger. You asked earlier if I had any other concerns and I was hoping we could talk.

[The door swings open of its own accord, allowing Kinger entry into the office. Faith sits at her desk, carefully stacking and setting aside a sheaf of papers.]

Sir Kinger, please- ...is there a reason you've cloaked yourself?

Sunday week 1, post fight

[Eventually, sometime just before dinner, Faith will get a knock on her door]

[The door swings open, allowing Capo to enter. Faith is folding a heavy leather apron and placing it carefully on the work bench, clearly pausing some kind of project. Whatever it is is currently covered by a small sheet.]

Sir Capochin, welcome. Please take a seat.

[Workbench apparently arranged to her satisfaction, Faith moves to sit behind her desk.]

Week 1, Sunday

[ At some point not...TOO long after the kerfuffle of a first meeting. Here's a knock on Faith's door, loud, a little impatient...though, given what she asked, there's probably a good reason for that. ]

[The door clicks open, letting Shannon enter. Faith sits at her desk, carefully adjusting a cloth draped over- I mean, Shannon can't see it, but the description's there in the locations page, she's covering her Orb and getting the cloth exactly centered.]

Lady Shannon.

[She makes- one last, tiny adjustment before looking back up to Shannon.]

I do apologize for the circumstances you find yourself in. But please, take a seat.

[Tuesday]

[It's probably some godawful time of the night that there's a knock at the door. After all, a few days can't fix a turbo-fucked sleep schedule!]

... Faith-san?

[Kanade's apparently not the only one with a slightly fucked sleep schedule, because it's only a moment before the door swings open to allow her entry.]

Ah- Lady Kanade, is everything well?

[Faith blinks a bit owlishly from a position by her workbench, clad in a heavy leather apron and similarly heavy gloves. She takes a moment to cover her project with a small canvas tarp- Kanade might catch a glimpse of something made of wire mesh- before shucking off the gloves as she moves to close the door behind Kanade.]

Week 1

Faith! Hey, open up!

[He’s going to keep knocking until she opens the door. I’m so sorry.]

[It takes a few moments for the door to swing open. Faith is sitting at her desk, hands folded carefully in front of her, dead-eyeing Roman as he steps inside.]

Sir Roman. Please come in.

Week 1, Thursday evening, cw: alcohol and some drunken behavior

[ So, Shannon's been coming in here once a day. Since that first one, it's just been a check-in. She had some worries, some thoughts about the plaques, but every time she got to Faith's room, she let everything else fall to the wayside. Have you found him? No? Alright, see you tomorrow.

Tonight, however...

Well, it's late. The knock on the door starts lazily, slow. And then, after a moment, it gets louder and more deliberate. It shouldn't be THAT much of a surprise, Shannon hasn't dropped in today. But it's still later than usual. ]

[Faith's check-ins with Shannon have slowly gotten more and defeated and sad as the week has worn on with no more success. Tonight, she takes the rare step of answering the door herself.]

Lady Shannon- I'm sorry, there's still no- ...I'm sorry.

Week 1, Friday

[There's a bunch of knocks. One, two, three-- ah, four hands' worth, actually. He's not pounding over here, though, it's nice and polite.]

Heeeeya, Faith! I brought SNACKIES.

[...oh, yeah, he's got like a bunch of fries on a plate. To share.]

[Faith is setting down some books from her shelves onto the large desk as the door swings open of its own volition, looking over her shoulder as Inspekta enters.]

Oh, Sir Inspekta! That's quite kind of you. I presume this means the deep fryer is working acceptably?

Wednesday 1

[...well, he didn't really want to interact with their... host more than he had to, but there was a sudden change of plans. now he's got a Little Guy cheerfully wagging his tail down around his ankles, and... there's actually a surprising amount of stuff good for little doggies around.

Except for one thing.]

[Her eyes widen a little at the pup, as the door swings open to allow Gaius entry into Faith's office. She's sitting at her desk, in the middle of writing something, frozen for a second in the act of placing down her pen.]

Uh- yes, please come in, Sir Gaius. Did your- new companion come from- the ticket booth?

Saturday Night

[She should have been here much earlier. She should have come here right after Faith revealed herself. But Amy Dallon has always been weak. Pathetic. A coward.

So she withdrew, because she was scared.

It's about time she stopped.

She knocks on the door.]

[The door swings open after only a moment. What's a sleep schedule, can you eat it? Faith is at her desk, carefully tugging a small cloth cover into perfect place over something suspiciously orb-shaped.]

Lady Amelia.

[She looks tired, sitting there. A mug sits to one side of the desk, cooled and forgotten on a coaster.]

I'm afraid I've been unable to check on the status of your home yet-

'Ey, Lady Faith, you got a minute?

[As the door opens, Faith moves away from her workbench, on which sit- a low tray of dirt? That's probably nothing.]

I did also want to thank you for the fwies Sir Inspekta shared. They were quite excellent.

[Does it take the door a moment longer than normal to open? Who can say. But it swings open and allows Z to enter, finding Faith sitting at her desk, a small stack of books from her shelves resting next to her.]

[ Revelations! Lingering inquiries, and still, with no sign of reprieve from this place that seems primed to instill a sort of deadly cabin fever.

The feeling of potential danger in the form of tension is exciting enough. But, he grants the door a light knock. ]

Hey, got some downtime? I decided I might want to drop in for a quick chat again.

[ They've all got free time in spades, and more chances for any single one of them discover more about their situation - whether it's about this place, or the one crucial to their "stay". ]

[As the door opens, Faith is rolling up a large sheet of paper on her desk; Childe can probably catch sight of what look like complicated calculations and diagrams before it vanishes into a drawer.]

Sir Childe, please come in. I'm here to assist you all, of course.

[The knock was brief, but a little louder than intended; the problems with metal hands.]

[The door swings open non-magically, Faith looking more confused than anything.]

[Yeah she doesn't linger too long, even with the others asking after her. Eventually, Faith will get a knock at her door, a bit more frantically than the last time Kanade showed up...]

[It takes a noticeably longer time than last for the door to open, and Faith opens it herself instead of it swinging open on it's own.]

Week 2, Tuesday. Evening.

[Spek will give it a good few hours. He's got other stuff to check on and other people seem concerned about Faith, too. Don't wanna crowd her or nothing, you know.

But in the evening, there will be a series of knocks.]

[Faith answers the door herself this time, face carefully neutral and composed.]

Sir Inspekta, thank you. I'm as well as can be expected. And yourself?

[Not long after the motive, there's a gentle rapping at Faith's chamber door.]

[It takes a long moment for the door to open. Faith opens it herself, standing carefully with her hands folded in front of her.]

[ After last time's, um. awkward situation. Shannon hasn't been back to see Faith, not even to check in. Too ashamed, maybe?

But that doesn't last.

Around the time of Ahko's party, Shannon knocks on the door. ]

[Neil knocks twice, just so it's clear he's intentional.]

[The door swings open on it's own. Faith is sitting at her desk, visibly tired. Neil can catch a glimpse of a crystalline orb on a small metal stand before she tucks it away under a cloth cover.]

Sir Neil. I can only imagine you do, yes. Please come in.

Week 2, Wednesday

[ After the meeting they have... Well, here's Shannon.

She's kept up her normal visits since Saturday, until uh. Well, Tuesday. Between the motive and that fucked up tea, she did not feel like dropping in.

Now, she kind of regrets that.

Shannon knocks on the door evenly, waiting. ]

[The door swings open, finding Faith at the metalworking bench, shucking off her heavy gloves as she turns to the door. A large metallic basin of some kind sits on the bench.]

Lady Shannon. ...I can guess why you're here, please, take a seat.

Post-Trial, Late

[eventually. Eventually, really, REALLY late in the night, when pretty much everyone else as vacated, Capochin makes his way to the second floor armed with more food.

[It takes a hot minute for the door to open. For once Faith looks physically disheveled as she opens the door, stifling a yawn as she speaks.]

Childe's weary, but he's going to keep going. He has to.

He figures he should ask a certain someone about flowers concerning for the dead, but also beyond that? He's looking to check in, seeing if Faith is doing okay.

So, a bit nebulous later, he comes and gives the door a knock. ]

[It takes a moment, but the door does swing open eventually. Faith looks, clinically speaking, dead on her feet and absolutely exhausted.]
