[Faith's door remains closed, the brass "PRIVATE" plaque silent and unyielding. Trying to force the door yields no results, but- she said you could contact her here, so just go ahead and knock. Worst case scenario, you're no worse off than before, right?]

[The door swings open, Faith is at her desk, poring over a Large Tome of some kind- she shuts it as Val enters, but the papers she starts organizing afterward look like technical mechanical plans of some kind.]

Lady Val. Are you well?

[ If there's a chair on the other side of the desk, Val will take a seat, propping her elbows on the desk and resting her chin in her hands. ]

Better than most. Are you? [ To be more specific: ] Is your god still within you?
