They are- they cared for me, raised me. Gave me such knowledge as they could, until I was capable of teaching myself.

[She smiles softly, despite everything. It's bittersweet but genuine.]

I suppose in a way they are the closest I have to a parent.

I must have had parents, at least, but they must have perished when I was quite young.
